Our Story

After living and working all over the world, Francis has decided to drop his suitcase under the sun in Ticino ( Italian part of Switzerland) with his wife, Patricia. 

In 2006 their son Gaël was born, which made them wonder if it was not the time to start limiting their travel. 

Upon learning, by the greatest chance, the restaurant they have long dreamed of was on sale, they decided to buy it. A great adventure began... it lasted until 2019, when France was recalling them.

Today a new challenge presents itself to them: a restaurant in a small village, Le Canton à Longré in Charente, back in France! Le Canton is the name of the village's place in charentais language.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to work with fresh produce and to sublime them with a worldwide experience, we will be delighted to share our passion with you and to take you for a relaxing trip in our restaurant.

Our Champagne

A special feature of our restaurant is to offer you a homemade champagne, made by little producer, managed by Sandrine and Manu in the hearth of the appelation Grands Crus area. This Champagne is produced following the family tradition for more than three generations and with passion, being born in the middle of this Champagne region, Francis Carré is proud to share this experience with you!
